need to use web client in 5.5 ?

Please advise need to use webclient only ?

cant we do everything using vi client  ? for 5.5 .

difference if we connect host using vi client ? or VC ?

Yes, all management functions can be done using the vSphere Web Client, to manage VMware vSphere 5.5

BUT, if you need to connect directly to a host, you will need to use the vSphere Client.

The Web Client only connects to vCenter Server.

The vSphere Client can connects to both vCenter Server and directly to the ESXi host.

Great thanks, any feature/functionality we cant do in Vi client and only possible through web clients for 5.1 /55. ?

Yes, many edit version 10 features in VMs, VDP, Big Data plugins.

Web Client will be the main interface for management in the future, no more development is being done on VI Client.
