Canon Printer Scanning Utility

I have two Canon multi-function printers (MX880 and MG7100).  I recently got a new computer, and for the life of me can't find where to download the Navigator scanning software from the Canon website.  I spent an hour at their site, and the only scanning software they directed me to was for the MX892, which doesn't work on my machine.  Please help.  Or, if there's a better scanning solution to Canon's, please let me know.

Thanks,

Phil

What OS are you using?

Often you don't need extra software to scan. If you are using a Windows OS, go to the control Panel and select Device Manager. Then look under imaging devices. If the printer is listed there, you should be able to scan using all twain compatible software, like irfanview or the Gimp.

The same applies to linux, if the proper driver is installed, any twain software should be able to scan.
