asked on

how resolve host name from secondary zone DNS

Hello all experts, and thank you in advance

I have host A roles = DNS, AD, domain name call ABC . com ;  host name A = dc2008.ABC. com
I have host B roles = DNS, member of ABC domain , host name B = win2003.ABC. com

additional to Host B (DNS) = has 2 zones = 1th zone ABC . com ; 2th zone 123 . KLM .com

the website 123. KLM . com needs resolved when user type in browser 123 . KLM . com

as of now user using IP address to accessing the website 123 . KLM . com  = OK   ( not able using host name ).

Host B will resolved host name ( 123.KLM . com ) on  browser only when on  host B ( not able resolve on other hosts )

On Host A DNS I have secondary zone copied of 123 . KLM .COM and successfully  when requested updated zone by right click on secondary zone 123 . KLM .COM select "transfer form master" it's seemed working fine.

however it still failed resolve  if I type in the browser 123 . KLM . com , unless I use ip address than it be fine.
DSN "server tab" both DNS servers included ip, and zones running "secure and insecure" transfer on both DNS

I can see secondary zone on Host A , no problem there .

I am missing or did I doing some thing incorrect, please would be very appreciate someone can shed some light

many thanks
