Is there a setting in IE 10 or Adobe 11 to change the way to view adobe files?  I do not want it set to use IE to view them, rather just download the file itself.  This is kinda urgent, will reward quickly!

Thanks

I believe Adobe took out the option in Adobe Reader 10/11 to do this within the program itself. Looks like it's done via an add-in to the browser now.

To disable IE from displaying the PDF within the browser, go to Internet Explorer > click on Tools in the menu bar (you may have to hit the Alt key first) > Manage add-ons > on the left hand side, towards the middle of the window click on the drop-down menu and select All add-ons > right click Adobe PDF Reader > Disable > restart IE > try opening a PDF file on the web.

Just tested this in IE 11 on a Windows 8.1 machine with Adobe Reader XI installed and can confirm it works.
