I have an HP Procurve 48 PORT Switch.  Don't know the model number because I'm not at that location.  About 6 years old.  When I type the ip in a browser it tells me that a plugin is not installed.  It is java.  I install java but this does not fix the issue.  Not sure what to try.

it might require older version of java.

check here:

then go to oracle's archive downloads: http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javasebusiness/downloads/java-archive-downloads-javase14-419411.html

and download appropriate version. install it and go to Control Panel on your Windows machine, find Java config option and disable all newer versions there to force your browsers to load only the older one.

restart all browsers and try to connect to admin interface again.
