Outlook 2013 - Still Sends emails when I Click Work Offline

I'm using outlook 2013 with an exchange server

I clicked the Work Offline in Outlook and did a mail merge from word, planning to edit emails with a macro as I have done many times before and for some reason it stated sending the emails immediately

Is there a setting I need to change or a way to do the mail merge that lets me run a macro before the emails start sending

There is no specific delay function in the merge. However you could set Outlook itself to delay delivery as a general option. That would delay all your outbound email, not just the merge.

Alternatively, you could just change your email account setting enough that it will be unable to deliver the messages. Then fix the setting when you are ready.

Also keep in mind that if you are about to send lots of emails, you may receive at least an email account suspension from your mail server provider. Even sending as few as a hundred emails can get your account suspended. So always check with your mail server provider, before sending mass emails.
