We are running Asterisk 1.4.22 and HylaFAX version 4.4.5. When I send faxes out, only about 1 out of every 6 will be successful. When the fax fails, I receive the error "No carrier detected." We are using IAX modem through our PRI circuit. How do I fix this?

Thank you

Well, my first answer is Scan to Email don't fax...

My second is make sure that you are using T-38 protocol through the Asterisk box.

My third is get off of 1.4.22 There are a lot of improvements for this type transmission in latter releases.

My fourth, with faxing it's not always your problem !  The receiver plays a huge role as well.

Sounds like they may just be moving to scan to email.
