Sybase environment variable

Hi,

Can someone help me understand how to set up Sybase environment variables in Linux.

When i try isql/bcp i am getting error.

Can you show us the error?

Normally you would set all the necessary variables in the profile of the account you're using to log in and run these things. That depends on your shell but typically it would be in your .profile in your account's home directory.

You'll find files like SYBASE.sh and SYBASE.csh in the $SYBASE directory. You can usually just source that file from within your profile - the contents are correct as of when you installed ASE, but if you've moved things around they may not be current.
