"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Currently no, if they have access to your WiFI they have access to the device.  Password control is on the development list but not a priority.  Realistically it's a domestic device designed to increase accessibility not to lock it down.  You'd need to provide control via WiFi access and that could mean a whole separate WiFi network with its own credentials just to cast.

Ah ok. I can see some right messing going on chromecast so

My way around this would be to hook a separate router up wan port to wan port. It's on it's own network then.
