Hello,

We are on Exchange 2010

We have a SMTP address which is associated with a public folder or a subfolder.  In the past two days, we have been trying to locate it but no luck.

If someone has an idea, please advice.

Thanks.

I am getting this when I run the command from my Exchange on-prem:

[PS] C:\Windows\system32>Get-MailPublicFolder survey@xyz.com
The operation couldn't be performed because object 'survey@xyz.com' couldn't be found on 'dcserver1.mydomain.com'.
    + CategoryInfo          : NotSpecified: (:) [Get-MailPublicFolder], ManagementObjectNotFoundException
    + FullyQualifiedErrorId : 487376B4,Microsoft.Exchange.Management.MapiTasks.GetMailPublicFolder

I am getting this when I run it from a O365 PS windows

Cannot process argument transformation on parameter 'Identity'. Cannot convert
value "survey" to type "Microsoft.Exchange.Configuration.Tasks.PublicFolderId
Parameter". Error: "The value provided for parameter "Feedback" isn't in the co
rrect format. The correct format is "<OrganizationName>\\<FolderPath>"."
    + CategoryInfo          : InvalidData: (Feedback:PSObject) [Get-PublicFold
   er], ParameterBindin...mationException
    + FullyQualifiedErrorId : ParameterArgumentTransformationError,Get-PublicF
   older

Our public folder is still on-prem.

Thanks.

The operation couldn't be performed because object 'survey@xyz.com' couldn't be found on 'dcserver1.mydomain.com'.
Did you get a chance to test the command? If it still return same error that means the email address doesn't exist in the organization..
