Password/Authentication on Shares in Ready NAS Device

Our ReadyNAS 2100 device v2 was setup by a vendor with open/public permissions to data - we would like to lock this down and require a password if possible. Any insight and assistance would be appreciated.

Most NAs units will allow you to add a domain group or individuals to it.  Adding a username and password authenticated by the NAS unit itself is not possible.
