W2012 Stuck in airplane mode

I have a Dell M6800 laptop I  just got and it is stuck in Airplane Mode. The icon that allows you to switch to Wireless mode is dim and does not function. Dell had sent a tech over to replace the airplane mode switch and that did not help. None of the solutions I have seen on the internet have helped. Does anyone know what else I can try? This is on W2012 R2 server.

Dell support was of no use. I had another laptop configured the same way and that one worked. So I compared the two,
Windows Server 2012
Windows Server 2012

Windows Server 2012 is the server version of Windows 8 and the successor to Windows Server 2008 R2. Windows Server 2012 is the first version of Windows Server to have no support for Itanium-based computers since Windows NT 4.0. Windows Server 2012, now in its second release (Windows Server 2012 Release 2) includes Foundation, Essentials, Standard and Datacenter, and does not support IA-32 or IA-64 processors.
