Small cam recorder seems to pulse / auto focus problem

I'm wondering if its me or the cam

It seems to zoom in and out by itself, just a little bit but enough to be annoying

Can I do anything to fix it?

I have a Nikon Coolpix it's written on the front.
Yours should too?
feck1 I just cannot give you any good suggestion other than base on mine.
In the camera settings profiles I can set it to a profile like center on subject so a white square appears, there is macro and zoom. If your camera has profile settings look in there.
Or panorama  / wide screen?
Is this a camcorder or digital camera.
Back to you.
