Barracuda Message Archiver Journal Account IMAP authentication failure

Hi,

We have a journal account on exchange and it was connected to Barracuda Message Archiver. Now the archiver complains it cannot connect to exchange. "Invalid Username or Password". I checked the password on our OWA and its working fine. Check the IMAP settings on exchange and they are all according to Barracuda KB. I called Barracuda and they said its something to do with the exchange authentication. I have no clue what to do next. Authentication on Exchange is configured as Plain text basic authentication.

Please help.

I had a chat with Barracuda support right now regarding that, and the issue can be resolved by doing the following (in EMC):
- Go to "Server Configuration"
- Go to "Client Access"
- Open the register labelled "POP3 and IMAP"
- Right-click POP3 and open the properties
- Open the "Authentication"-tab
- I assume the last option is checked (Secure logon). You need to change that to "Plain text"; after that the BMA retrieves the messages.

Attention: If you see the error in your web administration console, it will disappear as soon as all messages in the journaling mailbox are retrieved.

I have tried that. We were using IMAP and it was working fine until last Wednesday. Barracuda suggesting to implement Push method rather than Pull using IMAP. My journal mailbox is filling up and I wanna sort this out before I implement the Push method.

We have configured push method on our Exchange to communicate with Barracuda.
