URL Rewrite IIS 7.5 - contoso.com/test to contosonew.com

Hi,

I am looking to write a module to redirect contoso.com/test to another address but keep the web site mask.

I know this is possible but need some help to sort this out. I have access to both servers.

Can you explain what you mean when say "keep the web site mask"?

My initial impression is that you're talking about a proxy server.  This scenario has a public web server (contoso.com) receiving requests and forwarding them to a second server (contosonew.com).  The second server processes the request and returns the result to the first server, which in turn sends it on to the client as though it was generated locally.  On the client side, the user sees only the original contoso.com domain.

That is correct, I have looked into this and it seems though I need to setup a reverse proxy to achieve this but will appreciate if you can guide in how I get this working. I am aware that I need to install the module Application Request Routing.

Will this require to be installed on both servers? new to this but doesn't seem to be very complicated to do.
