I am looking for such example . I am not sure if it is possible. For example I want to build an application which has a list of members in the left panel , and when I drag a member on the center panel, I want to show detail. Also I want to reorder my list with a mouse.  Is backbone.js good library for this ?

you just need to play with draggable and dropable
http://api.jqueryui.com/draggable/
http://api.jqueryui.com/droppable/

your center div(panel) is droppable and your list (ul>li) is draggable.
