Lync 2013 Archive

I need a solution to archive Lync 2013 offsite.  We will use Lync 2013 Std Edition on premise,  If you don't already know, Std Edition is limited to SQL Express.  I can stand up a backend Lync SQL archiving database to pull data from if necessary, however it must ultimately go to our current third party vendor.  This means the solution must be vendor neutral.  I've looked at Actiance Vantage but they don't interface with SQL express.  Another option I've considered but don't have enough information on would be direct archive to Exchange 2013, which isn't currently deployed, however I wouldn't want to use the Exchange archiving features but as a gateway to archive to our third party, but again I don't know if that's a viable solution.  Thoughts?

Thanks for you're feedback, I certainly appreciate it.  I'll contact Proofpoint

You're right in that the vendor does require the data be formatted according to their requirements, to your point, its not vendor neutral,  The point I was attempting to makeis the vendor doesn't require a proprietary device, or software for the delivery mechanism.
Do you recall the name of the Proofpoint solution?
Proofpoint is the company and  Enterprise Archive was the solution we used.
