during the install, it asks for a product key whereas a volume edition does not and will attempt to activate on it's own by detecting a KMS server in the environment<br />

so no, i can't see a technet/msdn edition (which is essentially a retail edition) accepting a volume license key

looks like a difference of opinion so far &nbsp;.. <br />
I'm sure the evaluation cannot be converted but wondered if TechNet subscription could .. leaving it open for a few more days to see if anyone can come back with something definitive
