I see now that I was confusing the delivery method with the backend implementation of the service. If I undertstand it correctly, then you can have any kind of technology behind, which also means any kind of testing framework.

What can be used to test something deployed as Saas ?

Web applications are systems that run in browsers that perform functions normally associated with other client-based programs.
