interested in a Parallell to USB Chord

Hello and Good Evening Everyone

I recently acquired a Brother Intellifax 4750 printer/fax/copier machine from work.  Following a visual inspection of this machine, it appears it will require a parallel chord interface with the desktop.  Seeing that my desktop does not support a parallel port interface, I am wondering if there might possibly be a Parallel to USB chord to work around this limitation.  If so, I am wondering where I might be able to purchase one online.

Any shared thoughts or possible online purchase links for a  Parallel to USB Cable will be greatly appreciated.

           Thank you

           George

Hello

Thank you so much for your quick reply to my question.  Your link certainly does resolve my concern.  I do however have one additional follow up question to this post.  I am wondering if the modern operating systems by Microsoft like Windows 7 and Windows 8/8.1 will offer native driver support for the Brother Intellifax 4750 printer/fax/copier machine.

The specs for the 4750 are here:

Notice this in the Other section:
Standard Interface(s)     Parallel & USB
So look harder — there should be a USB port. Regards, Joe

Very unlikely. That device is so old that the manual mentions Windows 3.1, Windows NT 4.0, and Windows 95/98. Can't hurt to try it on W7/W8, but I'm not hopeful. Regards, Joe

The 'current model' is the IntelliFax-4750e and the date on the data sheet is 2002.  That particular version would have supported Windows XP... but if you have an earlier version, you may have trouble finding a driver.

Hello and Good Afternoon Everyone,

Thanks so much for your shared insights and resourceful links provided in response to my question.  Everyone's combined feedback has certainly cleared everything up for me regarding my future interest in using the Brother Intellifax 4750 printer/fax/copier machine.  I am primarily interested in its fax and copier capabilities.  Most likely, I will only use it for those two reasons.  I believe the printer capability is out because of the lack of driver support from the newer operating systems like Windows 7 and Windows 8.

Take care everybody and have a great upcoming New Year.
