I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

In a sense, it's seemingly a waste of (taxpayer) resources. But I'm never overly concerned by it as such.

Any general communication from an agency to the public is always possible to interpret as a means of testing the communications methods and pathways. IMO, that's a regularly needed exercise.

I do have some personal concerns based in simple honesty and trust of government, particularly its contribution to cumulative effects. But that's a personal opinion, and the general practice seems acceptable to the general public. Since government should be responsive to the public, I suppose it mostly works to a zero-sum.

But then, the celebration of the Winter Solstice season has nothing to do with Jesus nor the Bible.

The strange part is that Christians do not want to celebrate Winter Solstice on that date when in fact it is.
The celebration was redirect towards Jesus nativity.
It was a trial to eclipse the celebration of the other gods considered born on that date:

<um> conclusion is, you can disprove factual basis of person's belief, with their acceptance, and yet they'll hold/retain their belief anyway.
- were they to seem to lose religion, it likely they were not so true to it prior

Directed & Produced by      Frank Capra
Starring      James Stewart
            Donna Reed
            Lionel Barrymore
            Henry Travers
based on the short story "The Greatest Gift", which Philip Van Doren Stern wrote in 1939 and published privately in 1945

the FBI issued a memo stating "With regard to the picture 'It's a Wonderful Life', [redacted] stated in substance that the film represented rather obvious attempts to discredit bankers by casting Lionel Barrymore as a 'scrooge-type' so that he would be the most hated man in the picture. This, according to these sources, is a common trick used by Communists. [In] addition, [redacted] stated that, in his opinion, this picture deliberately maligned the upper class, attempting to show the people who had money were mean and despicable characters

The film recorded a loss of $525,000 at the box office for RKO

The film's elevation to the status of a beloved classic came decades after its initial release, when it became a television staple during Christmas season in the late 1970s. This came as a welcome surprise to Frank Capra and others involved with its production. "It's the damnedest thing I've ever seen," Capra told The Wall Street Journal in 1984. "The film has a life of its own now, and I can look at it like I had nothing to do with it. I'm like a parent whose kid grows up to be president. I'm proud ... but it's the kid who did the work. I didn't even think of it as a Christmas story when I first ran across it. I just liked the idea."[
St Nicholas Day (6 December, Gregorian calendar)

In his most famous exploit, a poor man had three daughters but could not afford a proper dowry for them. This meant that they would remain unmarried and probably, in absence of any other possible employment, would have to become prostitutes. Even if they did not, unmarried maidens in those days would have been assumed as being a prostitute. Hearing of the girls' plight, Nicholas decided to help them, but being too modest to help the family in public (or to save them the humiliation of accepting charity), he went to the house under the cover of night and threw three purses (one for each daughter) filled with gold coins through the window opening into the house.

Joshua Ben Joseph was not born in year 0, zero does not exist. Nor was he Christ during lifetime, it was the cross label "King of Jews" (Jewish Messiah = Greek King).  Translation: Jesus Christ = King Jesus. Joshua did not have religion of Catholic - or Christian, and was not born in town of Nazareth, which did not exist until after the loss of the temple.

The Christkind (German "Christ-child", pronounced [ˈkʁɪstkɪnt]) is the traditional Christmas gift-bringer in Germany, the Czech Republic, Croatia, Austria, Italy, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Portugal, Switzerland, Slovakia, Hungary, France, Upper-Silesia in Poland, parts of Hispanic America, in certain areas of southern Brazil and in the Acadiana region of Louisiana
..Promulgated by Martin Luther, explicitly to discourage the figure of St. Nicholas, at the Protestant Reformation in 16th-17th-century Europe, many Protestants changed the gift bringer to the Christ Child or Christkindl, and the date of giving gifts changed from December 6 to Christmas Eve
..The Christkind is a sprite-like child, usually depicted with blond hair and angelic wings. Martin Luther intended it to be a reference to the incarnation of Jesus as an infant. Sometimes the Christ Child is, instead of the infant Jesus, interpreted as a specific angel bringing the presents

To everything, there is a season, <turn><turn><turn>

A time to go Caroling

Joy to the World, the Lord has come!
Let earth receive her King;
Let every heart prepare Him room,
And Heaven and nature sing,
And Heaven and nature sing,
And Heaven, and Heaven, and nature sing.

Joy to the World, the Savior reigns!
Let men their songs employ;
While fields and floods, rocks, hills and plains
Repeat the sounding joy,
Repeat the sounding joy,
Repeat, repeat, the sounding joy.

He rules the world with truth and grace,
And makes the nations prove
The glories of His righteousness,
And wonders of His love,
And wonders of His love,
And wonders, wonders, of His love.

I don't care about the presents
Underneath the Christmas tree
