WS_FTP 12.2 will not open its file manager window with WIN 8.1/Parallels 10 VM

Tried rebooting WS_FTP, Parallels WIN 8.1 VM and OSX several times. WS_FTP sticks in OSX dock (bounces a lot) and sometimes will only open hints - even with hints turned off. Reinstalled WS_FTP 12.2 - all still no-go

Would willing accept a low-cost reliable OSX substitute. Ads I see are for more expensive/month.

In any event, How do I transfer files from WIN 8.1/Parallels 10 to destination web site?

WS_FTP 12.4 has been out for a couple of years now. I use WS_FTP 12.4 on my Windows 8.1 machine and it works fine.

First, try upgrading to 12.4.

Second, consider Cute FTP or FileZilla.

As a guess, I set WS_FTP to start on loading Windows - Good guess - works OK for now.

Thanks for input about 12.4 & other FTP clients.
