Why won't my ipad mini connect to wifi?

i cannot connect an ipad mini to the wifi in the hotel. the error message is "unable to connect to wifi". i have reset the network settings and had the same issue. i have other ipads that can connect though.

can someone assist?

i'm in Europe and i'm reluctant to ask the hoteliers because of their limited English and quite a lot of them are IT illiterate. i'm going to give you the 500 points because that's what i had mind.
