iPad Go Button

Can the iPad "Go" button methods & properties be accessed by JavaScript?

Specifically, if I'm on a web page can I disable the Go button or make it take whatever actions I choose?

I mean I'm doing the JavaScript programming behind the scenes. Like onMouseDown, etc.

Thanks.

It's actually more of a "submit." I tried to find some relevant sources on this site, but was not able. However, I think between the following two links, you might find what you're looking for adapting what others have done:

Good luck

Do you mean the "home" button on the front of an iPad, iPhone, etc.?
If so, then no, there is nothing that can disable or change the functionality of the home button via JavaScript or any web-based technology.
If that's not the button you mean, please explain.

If you are in Safari on the ipad & the virtual keyboard appears, what is usually in the position of "Enter" or CR is a blue button labeled "Go".

I'm guess (now that I think of it) that it's the same as CR so it's probably key code 13.

Is that right?

Thanks

This is not abandoned; I have not had time to try the suggested solutions due to other priorities.
