Hello,

I was just wondering if it was possible to install Jython without root permissions.

I need to use it on a box where I don't have root privileges.

I tried experimenting on the Mac I have; it popped up a GUI, ran through a few options, asked for a directory to be installed (I'm hoping this is where I can tell it to install to my home directory on the box where I don't have privileges). I did not have to give my password at any point during the installation, so I'm hopeful; but I'd just like a little confirmation, and possibly any tips to help with the installation or usage once installed.

Appreciate any help!

Download jython standalone jar file and run it as any user, from /tmp or wherever.
