local drafts folder on ios 8 mail app

Hello,

On an iphone and ipad running ios 8 I have an existing mail account which is imap and shows a drafts folder. For that mail account I have migrated that mail server to office 365 and for now both accounts are set up on the phone and ipad.

If i am writing a message from the (new) exchange account and save it, the message shows up in the drafts folder for the imap account.  I see that active sync doesn't sync the drafts folder with these devices. But I can't figure out if it is possible to have the drafts from that account be saved locally.  I would like to eliminate the imap account in the near future.

Thanks for any insight on this issue.

Have you set your new Office 365 account as the default account on your iOS devices?

Tap Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > scroll down until you see Default Account > set this to your new Office 365 account.

Create a new email and save it, does it still show up in the Drafts folder for the IMAP account then?
