RDS installed on 2012 R2, would like to install a trusted certificate from GoDaddy. I need to create a CSR but can't figure out where to do this in RDS or IIS.

You do it in IIS. GoDaddy has a good tech article that will walk you through getting the cert here

Once you've got the certificate, UR Tech has a good writeup of properly binding it in IIS for RDS usehere

Good luck.

Sorry for the slow response, I did not get email notifications. I had created the CSR in IIS, assuming that was where to do it but when I copied the CSR contents to GoDaddy I got an error, invalid content. I had selected the default of 1024 bit length. I just ran thru it again and selected 2048, it was accepted so am now waiting for GoDaddy so I can continue the install.

I was able to request the CSR with 2048 bit and that worked.
