Is it possible to stream live mp4 video to a web page? I have my own webserver and an IP camera which is streaming live video using http (or https if I choose) and I'd like to publish the content on a web page.
I've played around with Dreamweaver CS6 and can embed mp4 video but can't see a way to embed live video.
Is this possible to do?

Since this is a stream coming from a camera I'd publish it through an iframe. Most likely its not going to have a way for you to fully embed the video but you should definitely be able to wrap it up in an iframe, cropping what you'd prefer to hide.

After a day of surfing and searching I think I have answered my own question. No it's not possible to publish streamed mp4 video straight to a web page. As far as I can gather (and I've successfully got it working) is to use a media server to convert the incoming stream to a format that can be published on a web page. I selected the alternative RTSP feed from the camera and then fed that through a media server to convert it to RTMP for display using a flash player. It works well but now I want to do the same thing in Linux - but that's a question for another post.
The article then led me through it all was:
