Cannot import all email from imap file into 365 account

We have a customer that is moving from an imap account to office 365.  I was able to export the mail from the imap account to a pst file and then import that pst file to the office 365 profile.  It looks like everything goes well but most of the folders have no mail in them.  Not sure what I'm doing wrong here.

I found out what's causing the emails to disappear from outlook. It's a view setting. Here's what to do:

Select the folder(s) one by one that aren't showing the emails, then select view, click Change View, then select show IMAP.

Check if the items have actually been exported to the PST. When importing, note that there are certain limitations for message size in Exchange Online (35MB max). You can also run scanpst.exe against the PST file,

If the PST export/import still fails, what you can do is simply configure the EO account in Outlook next to the IMAP one and drag/drop the messages directly.
