Hi ,

We have a requirement to transfer only n of files to another server for processing.
If the destination server process 1 file then there will be acknowledgement sent to us , so now in destination server  n-1 files are there , so i have to transfer one more file at that time.

Is this can be achived via inotify or any other methods? Please provide some examples on inotify.

Thanks

It can be achieved with a counter.

inotify is a fancy select() call, of no use for you at all.
