How to change check box color

Hi

I am using
<input type="checkbox" >Sathish

normal html checkbox coming as gray i want to change some other color how to make it ??

as PP suggested, this cannot be done with straight CSS. I did come across the jsFiddle below that allows styling using javascript/jquery. I think that may be your best bet.

however, you may be able to put the checkbox in a div and style the background to what you want
