Server 2012 EasyPrint and Quickbooks 15 Enterprise, Printer Settings not saving

Hello,

We are having a strange issue that I cannot determine the cause to.

We are running Server 2012, RDS (Standard, fully up to date) and QuickBooks Enterprise 15. This server is also a domain controller and has EasyPrint functionality enabled.

Our users connect remotely using remote desktop and have their printers automatically redirected thanks to EasyPrint. The issue we are having is for one particular user, their QuickBooks printer settings are constantly reset. The user has multiple printers installed on their client machine, a locally attached zebra label printer and a few network printers. Upon logging into QuickBooks, the printer settings set the Zebra to default. Each morning they have to manually adjust the printer settings only to have it reset the next day.

As far as I know this is the only user having this issue.

Things I have tried:

-ensured the client workstation is fully up to date (It is running Windows 7 Professional, 64 bit)
-Tried reproducing the issue from another machine (Running Windows 8.1 pro, 64 bit) to no avail.
-Other programs on the server default to the correct printer (Word, Excel, Notepad, browsers, etc.)
-The users default printer is not the zebra printer, it is one of the network printers.
-Tried renaming the qbprint file (where apparently quickbooks stores printer settings).
-Tried making the qbprint file read-only (resulted in many errors printers, not a viable solution)
-Tried creating a new account on the server for them to log into, same issue.
-Tried having them log in with another user within the Quickbooks application, same issue.
 
At this point I'm not entirely sure if the issue is being caused by their workstation. The other users without issues don't have the same printers installed. I have not had them try using another workstation as they need to work from this particular one. One other user did complain that they experienced the same issue but I have not been able to confirm yet.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I would set up a new, test Windows User Account on the problem machine. log into the new user account, set up a QuickBooks test and see if the problem continues in a new user.

I use QB Pro (not Enterprise) and when I use QB remotely, I log into a computer at the site and run QB "locally" at the remote end (I think that is what you are doing) and QB retains its printer settings.
