Profiles on Domain Controllers - Server 2012 R2

What is the reason so many user profiles are showing up [picture enclosed], but not from domain controller.

I noticed there are a lot of users under User Accounts, why would a domain controller need this when these users do not RDP into the box.  I know when they login into the network, for authentication the DC
is polled, but why are the users showing up under User AccountsProfile

I'm not seeing a lot of users in your screengrab. The default Administrator account (which exists on every machine, although often disabled in domains) and a homegroup account, which is created whenever the homegroup setup wizard is run to allow for media sharing. Windows does still have file and NTFS permissions, so for media to be successfully shared in a homegroup, an account must exist to do so, hence the automated creation.

That is just an example, but the ones on the Domain Controllers, have over 100 users, why does this have that, when basically they do not log into the DC via RDP.

Only via their workstations.

It shows all the users.
