i want to imbed an image and links to php so a customer can see them

Uhm, your question is not so clear. Let me guess: it looks like you want embed an image within a php script and send the script to the customer so he can view the image. If so, it's just impossible: php is a scripting language so you can't produce a program, like a Windows executable, with an embedded image.
You can create a php page which display an image and sent to the customer a link to that page, o he can see it and even download it using the standard function of the right mouse button.
If you can explain better what you want to do, maybe we can help you better.

yes it probably was unclear what i want to to is show an image

Okay, so you can send just a link to a page. But you don't need php: jut an html page with an image. I don't understand where is the problem here... :-(
