SBS 2011 Certificate issues.  CA authority service will not start

Get teh following message when trying to start service.  "Unable to find the file. 0xc8000713 (ESE:1811)"   I have a couple certs that are expired and can't get them installed.  Any help is appreicated.  Thanks

Try to fix your issue as per below article

U might need to repair CA Database

Thank you for your reply.  We tried to run it and get these results from the commad  essentutl.exe /g

Error:  Access to source database '<domain-hostname>-CA' failed with jet error -181.
Operation terminated with error -1811 (JET_errFileNotFound, File not found) after 0.0 seconds.



This servers was recentely converted from a physical server to a Virtual HyperV server.

please try
essentutl.exe /r <Database File Name>
and see if it works

If issue still persists, may be due to P2V, you need to restore CA again from backup
Note that backup must be done previously in order to restore it
