OOTB modal pop-up for calendars in SP2013 not working  at all.

Hey guys ,

Hopefully an easy one.
When  I add a new event to a default calendar it doese not open up on to a pop up dialog box but goes to a new page by default.
How can I fix it to open to a modal pop up as it had been default to 2010?

I hadn't made any ccustinizationd and using OOTB.

Hi,
sorry I am offline but it should be
List settings -> Advanced Settings -> Dialogs -> Launch form in dialog -> Yes
