Need updated Bluetooth Radio drivers...can't find.

I have purchased a Bluetooth barcode scanner.  I am having trouble getting it to work reliably with my HP Omni 10 tablet computer with Windows 8.1.

The tech support for the scanner strongly recommends I get updated drivers for the computer.  The current Bluetooth Radio driver is dated in 2006.  However, when I run Device Manager to update the driver, the update says I have the recommended driver.

What do I do now?

Try finding the manufacturer website of the bluetooth radio hardware specifically and see if they have updated drivers available for your platform.

I get fairly regular Bluetooth driver updates from Lenovo for my ThinkPad - the latest in 2014. 2006 is too old.

As suggested above, ask the barcode scanner manufacturer for a decent driver.
