I am not sure if I downloaded the correct 'woo commerce' because there were 3 pages of choices

How would I start 'woo commerce'

Look under "Settings" for settings.

There should also be a new Post Type for Products.  I don't see it, which may be related to all other questions/answers today about your install of WordPress being screwed up in some way.
