Hello Experts!

I'm trying to run a FoxPro report from Visual Studio 2005 (VB.net) and I can get it to work on my machine (Debug) but when I load it down to one of the workstations that it needs to be run from I'm getting an Error:

Retrieving the COM Class factory for component with CLSID {XXX} failed due to the following error: 80040154

Here is the section of code it fails on (FYI the VFP9R.DLL is registered on the workstation)!
Dim FoxPro As New VisualFoxpro.FoxApplication

Thanks,
Mark

Does VFP9R.DLL not have any other depencies that are on your machine BUT NOT on the target machine? In this case, even if you deployed just the VFP9R.DLL, your app would still crash. You might check here http://fox.wikis.com/wc.dll?Wiki~VFP9RuntimeFiles~VFP for additional information as well.

Also, try to find the filename from the CLSID that is being reported. This might give you a hint as to whether the file that is causing the issue is there on the machine or not. To determine the filename from the CLSID, try looking in the registry at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\CLSID\GUID and find a key called "InProcServer32" (or something)  and you will likely find a value that has the DLL name.

OK, thanks!
I don't think I'm going to be able to get it to work...but I appreciate your help!
