Hello,

I wanted to know if anyone has attempted the Comptia's CASP exam.  I basically wanted to know how many simlets would be expected in the test.  I understand that most of the questions are supposed to be multiple choice, but wanted to get a general understating of it, outside the Comptia website.

Lastly, are there any valid certifications for Business Continuity and/or Disaster Recovery?

there is sharing from some stating around 5 to 6 since simulation qns is not easy to come up with and also not to over spend candidates on having many such performance based qns. Eventually it is still based on the percentage on each domain that need to cover and not all are performance based. In fact, these scenario based are testing out experience (as I personally see) Ref - http://resources.infosecinstitute.com/comptia-performance-based-testing/
Nonetheless, hard to say and no need to spend your time to guess or benchmark it too...

As for BCP and DRP, you may want to check out listing from http://www.tomsitpro.com/articles/backup-disaster-recovery-certifications,2-766.html
e.g. DRII Certified Business Continuity Professional, or CBCP
e.g. Certified Information Security's Certified Business Continuity Manager or CBCM
e.g. EC-Council Disaster Recovery Professional or EDRP
e.g. Sentryx Certified Business Resilience and IT Continuity Professional
