vCard attachments sent from Outlook via email show up as winmail.dat file on user cell phones (iPhone and Android).

How do I send contact information from Outlook to users phones for them to open, view, and save into their existing contacts on their phones?

Looks like it needs to be sent a different way via Outlook.
When sending as an attachment follow these steps
1.      New Email
2.      Insert Tab (at top of email)
3.      Business Card > Other Business Cards…
4.      Sort thru your list of contacts and holding the ctrl key down choose those who you want to attach.
