Restoring access to USB ports from Windows 7 Ultimate
Hi Experts,
My HP Z220 Workstation running Windows 7 Ultimate has died due to hardware issues.
I have purchased a new HP Z230 Workstation and have transferred the SSD that has been running Windows 7 Ultimate on my old HP Z220 Workstation.
My old Windows 7 Ultimate OS boots on the new PC.
But none of the USB ports are working. Device Manager does not show any USB ports.
I can boot the new Windows 8.1 system that came with the workstation and the USB ports are accessible from that OS.
What can I do to restore access to the USB ports from my existing Windows 7 Ultimate OS?
I have 200 applications installed and do not want to undertake a clean install of Windows 7 Ultimate.
Regards,
Leigh

I didn't have any success installing drivers from the ,exe files.
Workaround was to navigate from Device Manager to c:\swsetup (the folder where the drivers were automatically extracted).
Windows found the drivers there.
