Trying to execute a batch file that will copy all files with a .xml extension from ftp server to a file share on another server

open ftp.xxxx.com
xmlfiles
xxxxxxxx
Prompt
lcd \\gvcintranet1\MarketingFollowUpVisitSurveyXMLFiles$
mget *.XML
quit

I am able to get to ftp server ok but when it executes the lcd command I get a
\\gvcintranet1\MarketingFollowUpVisitSurveyXMLFiles$: File not found

assuming the reason is because it is a file share

any ideas as to work around?

Actually, I found a work around

For some strange reason, you can't do an lcd to the root of the share

You have to go to a folder under the root and then do an lcd .. to back up to the root

Goofy but it works
