Is there a device that boosts the signal for cable (coaxial) if distance is more than 50 feet? - or is something like that needed to still have good quality signal?

also, what would be good quality coaxial cable 50 feet or longer?

What exactly are you using the coaxial for?  Televison, networking, something else and what is the specification of the coax.

Here is another opinion.
You need the coaxial cable with impedance 75 ohms for television.
The code of the cable needed is RG6.
Here is a list with different coaxial cables used in different applications:

For television is used RG58, RG59 and RG6 lately.
