Dropbox Free Space

Does anyone know how Dropbox determines how much free space you get for trying the options they offer (tour, sharing a folder, downloading software, etc,).

I have some users who are offered 250 MB and some 50GB.

How is this determined.

The 250MB are usually earned with referrals and other types of actions (like your first upload etc, see full list here: https://www.dropbox.com/en/help/15)
The 50GB are from the sign up during the installation on a select range of premium phones (like most Samsung Galaxy series).
The 250MB upgrades are forever linked to your account, while the 50GB is only valid for 1 or 2 years (it should say so during the setup).
