Hello,<br />
I am trying to attach the hard disc to server 2008 so that I can do local system state backup to the d: drive but I am getting this error &quot;cant attach hard disk - the disk if offline because of policy set by administrator&quot;<br />

Please advise. If I backup to the remote share such as \\server\backup, will I have any difficulties of doing AD Authoritative restore or should I try to remove the policy so that I can attach the local disk. Thank you very much.

Windows Server 2003 was based on Windows XP and was released in four editions: Web, Standard, Enterprise and Datacenter.
