When to use cluster aware updating wizard?

I can easily patch hosts in a failover cluster with scvmm, but there is also the cluster aware updating wizard. When would I want to use it and why? Seems to me like it doesn't detect any updates, even if there are attached baselines in scvmm to the hosts and scvmm detect patches that need to be executed to reach compliance.

They are both very similar and essentially do the same thing but there are slight differences between the two.

Have a read of this excellent article which outlines the differences: http://www.thomasmaurer.ch/2013/05/hyper-v-host-patching-cluster-aware-updading-vs-virtual-machine-manager-fabric-patching/
