I have a single web page with 2 tabs created with bootstrap.  The IDs are tab1,tab2

Each tab has its on controls and its own button to submit the form.  So web page has 2 validation summary controls 1 for each tab.    What I need to be able to do, client side through jquery hopefully is remove the items in the validation summary for the tab on am on when every I click the other tab.  See the summaries aren't in the tabs so they show until button is hit again, and I would like to clear on switching of the tab.

thanks in advance for the help

If you are not able to move the validation summaries onto their respective tabs, do you need to preserve the data on the tab that was displayed prior to clicking the tab button? If not, a page redirect will clear the validation summaries, as the page will fully reload. If you need to preserve the data, you could set the visible property of the control to false in the code behind. If you need to do it with jquery, you would be looking at using CSS to change the display property to none.
