CSS Splash Screen

I had a code at one point that served as a splash screen. The page was greyed out, save a smaller graphic positioned in the middle of the screen with a message that the user could quickly read and easily dismiss.

I can't find it and I'm hoping that the brain trust that is "Experts Exchange" knows what I'm talking about and can point me in the right direction.

Thanks!

I don't know if this will be what your looking for, but this plugin works really great.  You can check out the demos and see if its what you want.  It will make a box appear in the middle of the page which has a close button on it.  You can also use HTML code and stuff too besides images.
