I have a client who uses outlook to read emails from various accounts (example..gmail, comcast mail, yahoo, etc).
While in outlook, he highlighted 46 unread emails from his gmail account and tried to drag them to his comcast account.
The comcast account displayed the 46 unread emails, so he thought it worked. When he tried to open those unread emails....they did not show up...... the page was blank. Now those emails cant be found on either account.
Any ideas on how to retrieve them? Are they lost forever?

Note: Your emails are not lost but the location you get them back is from the server.

Though, your emails are deleted from the mail client not from the server so, you can retrieve them back again to your account. For this, you can reconfigure your Gmail account in Outlook. Once you reconfigure it, all the mails reside in your account will come back to your Outlook email client from the server itself.

If you want to know how to configure Gmail account in Outlook have a look on the source given below:

Thank you !
I think the client went to his gmail acct directly and they were gone from there too.

I will check in the morning and post my findings.

I used a migration wizard from rack space to transfer the email from gmail to exchange and the lost emails were there.

That issue is resolved.....yeah!

Thank you Monika for you help!
